FAQ

Q: Could I please get an estimate over the phone?
A: No, there are several significant factors that come into analyzing any tree related issue. No matter the size of the job, one of our certified arborists will have to come out to the site, free of charge, in order to properly assess the situation.

Q: A certified arborist has given me a proposal that I would like to accept, how do I go about doing so?
A: In order to accept a proposal, one needs to sign the bottom, and either fax, mail, or scan & email it back to our office.

Q: Which areas do you serve?
A: We offer our services to the following counties: Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, McHenry, Kane, Kendall and Grundy. If you are interested in our service and reside outside of this area please contact our office. Click on the map below for a larger version.

Q: What do I do with a question about my invoice?
A: With any invoice questions please call our office at 847-475-1877 and ask for Carla or Pam.

Q: What happens if it rains after my trees or shrubs were sprayed?
A: All of the materials that Nels J. Johnson Tree Experts, Inc. spray need twenty to thirty minutes to dry and adhere to tree surfaces. After this time, it is then safe for your pets and/or children to return outside. If by chance it does rain within that time frame, simply call your certified arborist to schedule another application at no additional cost.

Q: How and when will I be billed?
A: An invoice will be mailed to you once the tree work has been completed. Our invoices are due within 15 days and we accept checks, Mastercard & Visa.

Q: When will the logs and/or brush be removed from the parkway?
A: Generally the site is clean upon completion of the work. Should logs and/or brush remain, they typically will be removed within 24 hours.
